Mechanical Engineering suggested job

If you are a fresher in Mechanical field and you are not getting a relevant job, or you are working irrelevant job where you are not satisfied with work and increments, a very good work opportunity for you, you can try. Although I have explained for Sales Engineers job in my last Article.

Initially you may face for starting this carrier and you can be demotivated from others, People can demoralised you by saying that why need to do BE/B.Tech when you can do this job without such kind of Degrees. But your focus should be for future.

Your suggested job is "Automobile Service Advisor". But the problem is that you will not get this job without experience. 

Before explaining that how you can get this job I want to share with you the benefits of that job. There are lots of benefits but main benefit is earning. You will get a handsome salary and very attractive incentive which is more than that your salary. And the Service Advisor position is standard in all over world. Suppose if you are working in any dealership of Toyota in Mumbai, same working environment you can get in any other branches in all over the world. Similar opportunities for other brands of vehicles also. And the lots of positions  available at a dealership. 

Service Advisor attends customer, look into the vehicles to identify the problems and suggest diagnostic like a doctor and prescribe i.e. what are the parts and services required. Service Advisor forward the matter to Technicians for remedy, he tracks the vehicle untill delivery.

Now steps how to achieve to get Service Advisor position! Please keep in mind that no dealerships are appointing Diploma or BE Engineers for technician positions. And you need to get experience for Technician position to get understand the preventive, breakdown and other ideas related to troubleshoot. And hence need not to show your degrees.

You need to work first in a local garage at least 6 months, that experience can help you to apply dealership for express maintenance i.e. for preventive maintenance positions. You can get automatically promotion for helping to GR Technician's who are troubleshooting vehicle breakdown or other issues. As you are a leterate person you can catch easily all the issues, hence you can get all the experiences within a year. You can than approach for Service Advisor position or you can jump for other vehicle dealership.
